  Mark's Lego Creations Update 7/31/02

Hi Everyone, Please check out my Moonbase module on my website. (URL) ~Grand Admiral Muffin Head -- Mark's Lego Creations (URL) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.space)

Great to see how quickly builders are jumping on the moonbase-bandwagon. I love the dish. I thought you would be tempted to use the same diameter as the dish on Mithrandir, but maybe those are already used in the Neverwhere and/or Nautilus? The (...) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.space)

(...) question though: is that station FCC Certified? ;-) -alex (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.space)

(...) Looks great Mark. I am particularly keen on the wires wraping around the dish support and other spots. Neat way to include a little landscaping too. -Jason +---...---+ Jason Spears MichLUG - (URL) Page - (URL) Store - (URL) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.space)

(...) Thanks Jason. I was originally going to just have the module itself, but I was chatting with Jon on AIM and I got the idea to use some BURPs to create a bit of "mountain." I thought the moonbase personnel would want to mount their (...) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: Mark's Lego Creations Update 7/31/02

(...) You are correct. The large dish sections are in use on the Neverwhere, so I sacrificed the Nautilus and used its dish parts. (...) Well, there aren't any modules up and coming yet, but I don't think this will be my only module. :^) w (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.space)

Hey Mark, As always, groovtacular stuff, man. You have so many great ideas that I'm planning to steal...er... "borrow" at some point. But, I got one teensy-weensy peevee-weevee complaint that I've been meaning to ask about. Regarding navigation on (...) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.space)

(...) OOO...OOO very nice. :-, That sensor array looks pretty powerful, like it could cook a seagull from a mile away. And any worksite that requires its employees to shave their heads for the sake of artificially increased intelligence is always (...) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.space)

Great stuff Mark. I think what I like about it best is that the edges of many of the forms (dish, rocks etc.) are exposed and rough...really gives it that cobbled look of true space platforms. Besides, it just plain cool. Cheers, -G (...) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.space)

Great job Mark. I like it a lot. I enjoy the green color scheme wrapped into the grey. I also like the rocks, it gives it a little more of a lunar feel. Very very well done. Keep up the good work. Jamie faraday8181 www.ozbricks.com/jneufeld (...) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.space)

(...) It's mostly because I code each page by hand in a text editor (hammer and chisel) and I'm too lazy to make a "main menu" button and then have to re-code every page on my website. Here's a little hint: Just go up to the URL bar and delete the (...) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.space)

(...) But of course. :D (...) What? Nawww...www. ;^) (...) They're actually 2x2, and they come with the Spider Man Studios set. ~GAMH (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: Mark's Lego Creations Update 7/31/02

(...) Thanks Gil. That's what I was shooting for... which is why there's a lot of asymmetry. I wanted it to look more like one of the first modules to have been set up (communications being important), so maybe it has a few "personal touches" like (...) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.space)

(...) Excellent! It looks like it would mesh quite nicely with Slim's Diner (another excellent module, btw). Jeff J (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.space)
