I don't it's going to happen either, at least not the sets we *really* want,
like the Galaxy Explorer and the original Blacktron stuff, etc., but I think
it's at least somewhat encouraging that TLC -did- re-release 4 early-90's
Space sets in Japan bundled with candy last year...
<set:3012> from 1999 = <set:6800> from 1997
<set:3013> from 1999 = <set:1954> from 1995
<set:3014> from 1999 = <set:1731> from 1993
<set:3015> from 1999 = <set:1916> from 1992
So, the good news is, at least we can't say, "They've never ever done it
before." Alas, the bad news is, they didn't (apparently) re-release those
sets for the sake of collectors...more likely, they did those because they
were attractive, small sets already designed -- perfect for candy.

| (...) I like the concept of Artic, but not the implimentation. It could have been done so much better with non-Jr-ized pieces and sans cheesy iceball/crater piece and trans-scorpion. OTOH, Ice Planet, colors included, ROCKS. I LOVE the trans-orange (...) (25 years ago, 7-Mar-00, to lugnet.space)
