Re: The Flame and The Lance

(...) I promise never to do it again ;-) (...) Well, the trouble with the bottom is I never see it when it's sitting on the shelf, and bits on the bottom make it harder to place there, and it's too hard to photograph the bottom anyway :-) Cheers, (...)   Re: The Flame and The Lance

(...) The hangar bays were the main reason I even bothered building such a big microscale ship, really. It's a lot longer than the RBR, and heavier, despite containing a lot less wagon wheels... ;-) Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: The Flame and The Lance

(...) Glad you asked :-) Primarily Ken Takeuchi's (URL) and (URL) Sparta>. No surprise there. White and light-gray suggest large scale to me. But I wanted to take the concept in a sleeker direction, but for a while I wasn't sure how. So along comes (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: The Flame and The Lance

(...) Yeah, I was pleased with the hangars, actually they were the main reason I made such big microscale ships - I wanted to make conceptually decent-sized hangar bays. (...) The pleasure is mine... I just wish I had a better camera. Cheers, (URL) (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: The Flame and The Lance

(...) Actually, that hadn't sprung to my mind... but I guess the overall form of the Lance does suggest the same sleekness. I love Star Wars (and have most of the spaceship toys), but I don't consciously look to it for inspiration. Cheers, (URL) (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: The Flame and The Lance

(...) It's not a competition, it's an exhibition. There are no also-rans. The only prize is growth of one's building abilities. Ack, now I'm sounding all motivational. :-) Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: The Flame and The Lance

(...) Thanks, I was very pleased with the engines given that I planned their whole design in my head over the course of an hour... I was running out of time the evening before leaving for Bricksmeet when I thought of those :-) Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New MOC: Hover Limo with Police Escort

(...) Thanks! (...) The TV (it's actually a sticker) is from [LEGOSet 5571] (...) That's exactly what they are. They're the sprues which chrome spears are attached to. The curved bits on the door are Belville bucket handles. (...) (URL) This> --Bram (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: The Flame and The Lance

(...) I want to reply to everyone but I probably won't have time as I'm at work! Thankyou all for your replies, it's much appreciated. Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Fun use of wedge pieces

Check out our latest MOCs from our homepage, Funny Cars; (URL) wondered what else to build with the wedge pieces that came with the Jedi Starfighter and the Geonosian Fighter? Regards, ACPin & Sons (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.town, lugnet.build, lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc) !

  Re: MOC: Spy Prawn

(...) I did... ;-) You made the right choice IMO Allister, this is a great design on its own. The segmented appearance and probey tentacular appendages have turned out really well. It has an alien look to it that I like. Nice work! Cheers, (URL) (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

The Grasshopper: A Use for those geonosian fighter bits

This is my newest MOC. I threw it together during a fit of inspiration while fooling around with the new brown slopes from the geonosian figher. It is an atmospheric, single passenger craft. Capable of extremely high speeds and very maneuverability, (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc)

  New MOC: DYAD

This MOC started out as a self propelled Znap wheel about two years ago. You can see a movie of the original (URL) here>. About a month ago, I decided to see if I could build a similar wheel, but make it steerable. My first attempts were wobbly (...)   Re: MOC: Spy Prawn

(...) Allister, this is a cool moc. You really captured the whole alien/aquatic aesthetic very well. I think its very difficult to make something look really 'alien'and you have succeeded. The profile is great, the pilot is snugged in and protected. (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Spy Prawn

(...) Allister, I really like this MOC. I saw it a couple of days ago when looking at "what's new" at Brickshelf, but didn't see an announcement about it. Good work! James Wilson Dallas, TX (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: The Flame and The Lance

Kudos Paul the ships are epic, from a distance they realy do look like movie models. The greeblage was just about perfect, so much to absorb. You have raised the bar in microfig ship design. Outstanding work. -Keith (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  MOC: Spy Prawn

Hi all, I'm a bit hesitant to show this, what with all the amazing MOCs appearing at the moment, but here goes. (URL) The Prawn> is an infiltration craft employted by the Alpha Team to gather information on the increasing threat posed by the Sea (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: More new MOCS: a whole bunch

(...) Yeah, I thought so too, but it worked 3 ways, so... (...) I realized my mistake after I uploaded them. Unfortunately, i had already taken it apart (...) Thanks for the feedback. I hope to have another MOC up soon :) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: More new MOCS: a whole bunch

(...) Thanks :) Come to think of it, that would be a way better tail. (...) The flag was an after thought. Glad you like it! (...) Really? I thought it was one of my less impressive MOC's (...) Actually, these were all built in the space of a few (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.space)
