Many thanks and some more about the work behind my capships

Hi, I want to thank you all for the (extremely positive) comments on these ships, didn't expect you'd like them that much. Since I've got some mails asking about the background-history of these ships: here is some ... I got the blockade runner for (...) (22 years ago, 22-May-03, to lugnet.space)

MichLUG Show Report & Pictures- Castle & Space Layouts

Contrary to popular opinion, MichLUG is not all about Train layouts. This past weekend we had a Space (partial Moonbase) layout and Castle layout at the Motor City Comic Con in Novi MI. A mix of Moonbase modules and other space creations, along with (...)   Re: PCS Gets a move on....

(...) Chris, Speaking of Cargo Loaders... since I have been working on a Marsbase Module warehouse and loading platform (one that would fit the PELiCAN well)... do you have any plans of doing PCS bases or ground vehicles. I know PCS is still (...) (22 years ago, 22-May-03, to lugnet.space)

Hey guys, I finally put this up after over half a year. It's based off my original version, but almost completely reworked.   Re: Questions for Dan (was My wallpaper)

(...) Actually, the trans orange has white bricks behind (I think a stack of 1 X 2's). That helps brighten up the trans orange. The black Piranha has plain ones while the gray version has corrugated bricks. (...) Nope, because it raises him a bit (...) (22 years ago, 22-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: CL-4000 Passenger Liner Shuttle

(...) It's a nicely-done model with great detailing and colouring. I hadn't replied for a while because I hadn't figured out what I thought was lacking... but I realised what it was just now. I think it's overall form would be greatly enhanced with (...) (22 years ago, 22-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Heavy-duty turntables.

(...) Sorry for the late reply, and this may not solve your problem, but I just wanted to say how cool this part is: Technic Brick 2 x 2 x 2 with Hole and Click Rotation Socket (URL) use a bit of SNOT to orient it how you want, and it'll hold quite (...) (22 years ago, 22-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: taking good photos

(...) I didn't think that sounded right, but I couldn't figure out why. This sounds an awful lot like how LCD laptop screens work, where they look fine if you set the screen size according to the actual physical pixelation of the screen, but if you (...)   Re: PCS Gets a move on....

(...) Well actually I meant that I thought the printed panels would look good if swapped _over_ onto the aft end of the ship where the plain ones currently are... to help the aft area look less plain. But then maybe you tried that too... whatever (...) (22 years ago, 22-May-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: My new capital ships online at brickshelf

(...) Wow, you have designed some great shapes for your ships. My favourite would have to be the colonisation frigate, it has the best arrangement of the white and gray elements. I really like the facilities detailed on top. The other ships are (...) (22 years ago, 22-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: taking good photos

(...) I think you are confusing color depth with image area resolution. If the CCD chip has an area of X-by-Y pixels and you are at maximum optical zoom, then any form of digital zoom requires interpolating between adjacent real pixels. The color (...)   Re: PCS Gets a move on....

(...) Thanks. I appreciate the complients! And, ya it may be too greebled (except for aft), but since this is more of an "industrial" ship I stayed away from some of the PCS smooth on top/pipes on bottom routine and stuck em wherever they would fit.   Re: Hello

Hey, Alex, welcome to Lugnet. You have some nice ideas there. I like the way many of things somehow relate to the Star Wars world. But my viewing has been impared by something thats probably not your fault. My computer has frozen twice when trying (...) (22 years ago, 21-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Candiru

Fantastic. I love the organic design. I would second trying to design a tail. It does fine without, but I think would add even more "life" to it. It's exciting to see a collaborative build. (22 years ago, 21-May-03, to lugnet.space)
