i have been lurking around for a very long time [1.5 years] and i have finally decided it it time to post. Presenting the asteroid explorer. the asteroid explorer is designed to fly around searching for asteroids and comments. when it finds them the (...) (22 years ago, 18-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Candiru

(...) Thanks to you and everyone else for all the compliments. I enjoyed working on this with Joel. It was truly a collaborative effort, as we worked on different parts of the ship at the same time and gradually put them together. I'll let you guys (...) (22 years ago, 18-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: taking good photos

(...) No, digital zoom is a complete joke, and it's a really lame way to justify charging more for a camera. Optical zoom actually uses true camera optics to magnify the image before the camera records it. Digital zoom takes the image _after_ the (...) (22 years ago, 18-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: taking good photos

(...) Ahh, digital frustration. I have the same problems with my camera. ALWAYS use the Best setting, and try to get a photo editing program that allows you to right-size the picture. The pictures usually become 'huge' because Windows picture (...) (22 years ago, 18-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: taking good photos

(...) What's the megapixel rating, optical zoom rating (digital zoom is an oxymoron, and should never be used), total pixel-by-pixel size of the images it produces? Also, what's the listed focal range (you might need to check the manual for that (...) (22 years ago, 18-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  taking good photos

Hello Spacers, I'm experiencing mounting frustration with uploading quality images of my lego creation. I've got a kodak digital camera that takes great photos. It looks great when I download it from the camera into the software viewer. But when (...) (22 years ago, 18-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Candiru

Beautiful! A very predatory vessel. I'm always impressed by the number of features you manage to cram in your ships. Time to look into retractable weapons... Take care, Soren (22 years ago, 18-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Candiru

(...) It's a simple matter of keeping the center of mass over the support base, in this case, the legs. Mark likely experimented to accomplish this, it's only a quaint matter of geometry and masses anyhow. (22 years ago, 17-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Candiru

Wow Mark! I can't say anything that hasn't been said yet (bird-shape, cool colors and scary look) but I just had to salute you, Grand Admiral! Love, Sylvi (...) (22 years ago, 17-May-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: PCS Gets a move on....

Great ship Chris! I loved the way this ship has a big belly for a cargo and that it opens so well in front. It reminded me of this refugee ship in SW II AOTC on a much smaller scale. A whole month without building? PCS is doomed... Love, Sylvi (...) (22 years ago, 17-May-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: New pictures of old MOCs and new MOCs

Glad you liked them, JHK! I think I have designed three or four different cockpits for the dropship, and I am (reasonably) happy with this one. I had also been thinking a lot about a color scheme for the Terran Union and tan-red worked more or less (...) (22 years ago, 17-May-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: Three times three pics of new MOCs

Great you noticed me, Paul. I truly loved the Mako and tried to capture the streamlined look in a smaller model. Thanx for the inspirration! Love, Sylvi (...) (22 years ago, 17-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Candiru

(...) Grand Admiral & Joe, This ship is so cool. The design is unique and the color scheme is one I really like. Greeblie goodness all around. I like how it appears that the Candiru is about to "pounce" on anything in front of it (that or just peck (...) (22 years ago, 17-May-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: PCS Gets a move on....

(...) Admiral, This vessel is a beau! You and your clever acronyms. Keep it up! I love the various curves and those tiled angled engines are stellar! (Actually do you have any more white tiles having made this??) Every large vessel needs a control (...) (22 years ago, 17-May-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: PCS Gets a move on....

Hey Admiral, that ship looks awesome! It reminds me of this ship: (URL) greebling looks good and the colors are great! Does that flat piece (not the curved one from Droid Escape) under the cockpit have custom printing? If so how do you do that? Keep (...) (22 years ago, 17-May-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: PCS Gets a move on....

Very cool. I love the blunt look with the opening clamshell thing at the front. Reminds me of the cargo airplanes we use today. I like the interior of this ship. The retracting bed is a nice touch. And I dig the hatch- I'm a sucker for hatches. And (...) (22 years ago, 17-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Candiru

Wow. I really agree that it looks kinda like a super-deformed dinosaur Bird-of-Prey kiwi. :) The shape is very... unique. I love the look of that long ramp going down the belly. And the interior looks great, too, although I would like to of seen (...) (22 years ago, 17-May-03, to lugnet.space)
