  Space & Photoshop...

a couple of months ago i made this and people gave some great advice about how to make it pretty. (URL) today i took a photoshop class for my job and used the knowledge to make this little bad-boy. it's a fly-by of a squad of Jarnuan Fighters. (...) (22 years ago, 28-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: Pre CS MOC: The XLL324 "Vant"

(...) I particularly liked the V for victory (or was it V for Vant) from the photographer/chronicler. Now, I have this birthday card that needs to be on Io day a week tomorrow... Richard Still baldly going... (22 years ago, 28-Feb-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Pre CS MOC: The XLL324 "Vant"

(...) As a MOC, I think it's way cool. I really like the sense of power you get from the massive rear engines. I think some stubby side wings might be good to go with the one on top, otherwise it sort of looks like an afterthought. Aside from the (...) (22 years ago, 28-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

Pre CS MOC: The XLL324 "Vant"

Hiyo, The XLL324 - 'Vant' is a light cargo hauler for carrying small but vitally important manifest travelling within the solar system. At around $3.26 million to take a small envelope to Io, it better be important, but the Vant will get it there in (...)   Re: Station 45

Sweet Geeeezus! That is FANTASTIC! I don't know where to begin! First of all the Gear Cathedral is a powerful idea...mixing a gothic setting with heavy machinery - what a concept - love it! Station 45 is so incredibly raw-realistic, you've really (...) (22 years ago, 28-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: My first Photoshop Picture...

(...) Thanks! (...) Well, the edges of the ship were just a tad jaggy... but the blur wasn't neccesary. It's too late now to change it, though! :( (...) Yeah, its a round planet! :) I just uploaded an updated version that should fix that. Thanks for (...) (22 years ago, 27-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: My first Photoshop Picture...

I should stress that I DID NOT make the planet. I used a neat little filter called lunercell that is available here, along with a fully functional demo: www.flamingpear.com Thanks for the response! -JHK (...) (22 years ago, 27-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: My first Photoshop Picture...

(...) Wow, for a first full picture, this is great! You did very well for yourself. I am impressed. If you will induldge me, however, I'd like to give out a couple points of constructive criticism. I don't know if I would have put the blur on the (...) (22 years ago, 27-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: My first Photoshop Picture...

(...) I think it looks good, John. I don't know enough about Adobe to give any suggestions on how to do it better (the Adobe work I have done for my SS pics is credited to my roommate). I gotta ask though, how did you get that texture and shape on (...) (22 years ago, 27-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

  My first Photoshop Picture...

(URL) the first picture I've ever fully finished in my Adobe Elements program. It might become the splash for the new page I'm designing. (Yes, splashes are the abomination of the internet, but I needed some exercise in image editing...) PLMKWYT. (...) (22 years ago, 27-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: miracle find

Ah, yes. I love those computers, especially because the only inverted computer I have is from the AT-ST set! :) Good find. Hope you find more rare parts! It seems like nobody in Florida plays with Lego anymore... I never found anything in a garage (...) (22 years ago, 27-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Station 45

(...) The Grand Admiral approves. I really like the functional look you have achieved. Nothing is pretty, it's all gray and tough-as-nails looking. I also appreciate the large downward-pointing thrusters on the flying craft. It gives them some (...) (22 years ago, 27-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Station 45

The Mechbus Dropship is just too darn nifty. The quarter dishes on the back and the high wings make it look very insectoid. It's a great design. The monochrome grey gives the whole scene a very militaristic look, which has its place. Very cool (...) (22 years ago, 27-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)
