Re: New Render -LMKWYT : )

Yeah, I like what you did, but we need more ships involved... Not little border skirmishes, but fleet depleting large scale engagements. IE draw a line in space and bring massive forces to bear... That's what I'd like to see : ) -Xanthra47 Rick (...) (24 years ago, 16-Aug-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.cad)

(...) Seems like such an obvious usage to me :) (...) And steering wheels? Although now that I build out of standard minifig scale they're usually too small for that. --Bram Bram Lambrecht bram@cwru.edu (URL) (24 years ago, 17-Aug-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: HoverThing Contest Entry: The Zeno HoverTub

I realize that this comment may be blasphemy, but... What happens if a Zeno Hover Tub has an accident with T.R. Sammis' Flying Carpet? Will the carpet fly completely waterlogged? Is the tub as efficient with all the water soaked into a carpet? Hmm, (...) (24 years ago, 17-Aug-01, to lugnet.space)

Here's another Hover thingy for the contest!

Here's Lynx 8 Space Bike. The front vents are pieces from a jack stone set (don't have a duck, someone bought the set for me). The body employs a lego three wheeler (minus front wheel assembly and rear wheels) as its base piece, so the minifig sits (...) (24 years ago, 16-Aug-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: HoverThing Contest Entry: The Zeno HoverTub

(...) Nice, it sports room for three, I assume? Rubba-dub-dub! I might have to plunge my way back into this draining contest. Do you have soap in your ears? I said your entry's all washed up.... Okay, I'm not used to that many puns in a row...I need (...) (24 years ago, 16-Aug-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.off-topic.pun)

(...) Wasn't Ice Planet almost entirely ground-based except for the single large space ship? And Ice Planet is still unquestionably a "Space" line. (24 years ago, 14-Aug-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space)

Re: HoverThing Contest Entry #1: Kit-Car

NOOO...OOO!!!!!....DOH! Now I have to redesign my hover vehicle because it looks too much like yours....no steering wheels for me the next time around...grrr....I guess it's true what they say- 'great minds think alike'. It just doesn't usually (...) (24 years ago, 16-Aug-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: HoverThing Contest Entry #1: Kit-Car

(...) Very nice! It shares a lot of aesthetic qualities with Joel's also very cool mini-hovercar. Those steering wheels are quite useful as mini-turbofans--I've only ever used them as landing gear or machinegun legs. ;) LFB (24 years ago, 16-Aug-01, to lugnet.space)

HoverThing Contest Entry II: Classic Space Scootabout

Hi all, Fresh and clean out of the HoverTub, I have a more "serious" entry for the HoverThing contest. It's a small (2x5 base) hoverbike that I first built back in the early 1980s (!!) and that I've reconstituted using all the same parts, save the (...) (24 years ago, 16-Aug-01, to lugnet.space)

  HoverThing Contest Entry #1: Kit-Car

Instead of pushing the maximum size limit, I decided to push the minimum. The hover kit-car is propelled by three turbofans and two compressed gas canisters. Its range, speed, and hover height are limited, but it's light weight and maneuverability (...) (24 years ago, 16-Aug-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

  Re: Adaloid Mothership

I love it, Dan! I was hoping you'd get around to showing us close-ups of it. One day, I, too, will work in nanofig scale, but now is not that time. It sigves a great sense of perspective when you work like this. I actually did a doubletake when I (...) (24 years ago, 16-Aug-01, to lugnet.space)

  Adaloid Mothership

Greetings! In case anyone's interested, I posted a few pics of my nanofig-scale Adaloid Mothership on Brickshelf: (URL) tried to get some different angles to show the overall design and details.   Re: New MOC: A-Wing Fighter

Hey, I really like how you got the basic shape of the hull down, it is very accurate. I agree with some other posts I saw, with all the sculpting you did, it would be very easy to introduce some color modulation, some greys and even tans perhaps, (...)
