Here's Lynx 8 Space Bike. The front vents are pieces from a jack stone set (don't have a duck, someone bought the set for me). The body employs a lego three wheeler (minus front wheel assembly and rear wheels) as its base piece, so the minifig sits (...) (24 years ago, 16-Aug-01, to lugnet.space)

(...) Very nice! It shares a lot of aesthetic qualities with Joel's also very cool mini-hovercar. Those steering wheels are quite useful as mini-turbofans--I've only ever used them as landing gear or machinegun legs. ;) LFB (24 years ago, 16-Aug-01, to lugnet.space)

Hi all, Fresh and clean out of the HoverTub, I have a more "serious" entry for the HoverThing contest. It's a small (2x5 base) hoverbike that I first built back in the early 1980s (!!) and that I've reconstituted using all the same parts, save the (...) (24 years ago, 16-Aug-01, to lugnet.space)

Instead of pushing the maximum size limit, I decided to push the minimum. The hover kit-car is propelled by three turbofans and two compressed gas canisters. Its range, speed, and hover height are limited, but it's light weight and maneuverability (...) (24 years ago, 16-Aug-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

I love it, Dan! I was hoping you'd get around to showing us close-ups of it. One day, I, too, will work in nanofig scale, but now is not that time. It sigves a great sense of perspective when you work like this. I actually did a doubletake when I (...) (24 years ago, 16-Aug-01, to lugnet.space)

Hey, I really like how you got the basic shape of the hull down, it is very accurate. I agree with some other posts I saw, with all the sculpting you did, it would be very easy to introduce some color modulation, some greys and even tans perhaps, (...) Well-- Twice now I've designed hangar bay doors for a *base* (not a capital ship) in the same way that I'm really rather happy with, although it requires some extra mechanism room... I also don't see anyone who's mentioned it (at a quick search) so (...) (24 years ago, 16-Aug-01, to lugnet.space)
