You can also set the display in RL2.5 Programmer as: Functions > Rcx Communications > Set Display Another cool way to find quickly the function is by selecting the function by name. Alan (...) LCD (...) Yup. In RL2.5 Investigator, select through the palettes as follows: Datalogging & motors > RCX Communications > Set Display. Miles: On the question of arrays. Yes, it turns out that RL 2.5 *does* have array support (although you'd never find this out from the documentation). The trick is to use the container-of-container VI, which you only get in the Modifiers palette in (...) (24 years ago, 14-Nov-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

The Windows Control Panel setting switches the USB tower between IR mode and VLL mode. Your then need software to send the appropriate VLL commands. WinVLL is one such program. On reflection I think I am in error about RoboLab 2.5. I think the VLL (...) (24 years ago, 6-Nov-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab, lugnet.robotics.vll)

(...) Robolab 2.5 makes wiring even easier with auto-wire. If you place an icon close enough to the END on the right side of an icon, the new icon will be automatically wired in. 1. I am only using Robolab 2.5 to drive Control Lab. Prior to 2.5 I was using Robolab 2.0 with the free Lego Engineer software to drive the interface. The 2.5 release removes the need for Lego Engineer. In fact I am now getting errors with Lego (...) (25 years ago, 14-Oct-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab, lugnet.dacta)

1) If you have a serial tower, there is no reason I can think of to purchase the USB tower. If you use a USB tower, then you will need the USB support that Robolab 2.5 provides. 2) The hardware differences between the 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0 bricks are (...)
