For a discouraging description of array functions you can look at Page 6 of
"LabVIEW Components" aka "The LabVIEW Engine behind ROBOLAB" (see
http://www.lego.com/dacta/robolab/references.htm) which states: "Array
Tools : Selecting Array Tools allows you to manipulate data
that is contained in the strings. The RCX cannot make use of the arrays
so this is used in advanced level LabVIEW programming. LabVIEW feature with
no functional use on ROBOLAB."
For sending data into arrays in the opposite direction that you desired you
can see "Advanced Programming Features" at
http://www.lego.com/dacta/robolab/externalfiles/advancedprogramming.pdf.

| Miles: On the question of arrays. Yes, it turns out that RL 2.5 *does* have array support (although you'd never find this out from the documentation). The trick is to use the container-of-container VI, which you only get in the Modifiers palette in (...) (23 years ago, 14-Nov-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

| All -- I'm just getting to grips with RL2.5 (been using NQC prior to this) so apologies that this is a total newbie question. The documentation is, ummmm, skimpy on a number of advanced topics (e.g., LASM support). I'm trying to figure out if (...) (23 years ago, 5-Nov-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)
