  Re: WORDLIST

(...) snip A while ago, I started to work on a few words that I find useful, including WORD and SEE. I still have to finish them, but what would help is to know the structure of the dictionary (starting with the execution address obtained by tick (...)   Re: WORDLIST

(...) The pbForth documentation which is included with the latest release of BricxCC indicates which of the ANS FORTH words are supported by pbForth. If you open a forth document (one with an extension which BricxCC recognizes as a forth document) (...) (20 years ago, 16-Jan-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

  RE: WORDLIST

Good questions Juanma! If WORDS is very important for you, I can write up a quick tutorial on how to do that. I'm pretty sure all of the CORE or REQUIRED ANS Forth words are supported. I'll need to update my build script to output a list of the (...) (20 years ago, 16-Jan-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

  WORDLIST

Is there any way in pbForth to list the currently defined words, à la WORDS? Also, is there any document that list which ANS FORTH words are supported by pbForth (other than reading the source, I mean)? Thanks. (20 years ago, 16-Jan-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

RE: Problem with rcxTcl.exe and the USB IR tower

(...) I'll check this out on a system that has absolutely no Tcl support, but as you might expect - it works fine here :-) (...) I'm sure John Hansen would appreciate any feedback on BricxCC - even if it'a a problem report. (...) That's the spirit! (...) (20 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

  Re: NQC's future

(...) ;o) ... but why not ? (...) You're right, I should try pbForth, actually I intend to do that for a while but never jumped in. In the late 80's, I was involved in a point of sales terminal project that was programmed with a preemptive (...)   Q for Ralph

Why, exactly, does pbForth use a terminal emulator for the PC to talk to the RCX? Although I admit I find it an interesting concept (it's got a certain nostalgic appeal, at least for me), the design seems to encourage leaving the RCX on for extended (...)   IR problems

Hi, I was having some problems in a program I'm writing in PbForth and it seems that it could be related to the way I communicate thru IR. I use the Lego remote control. I joined the following code to demonstrate. I use the word 'getHeader' from (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jan-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

  RE: NQC's future

(...) Ha Ha, very funny :-) Seriously, Philippe, why not give pbForth a try? I know that NQC works great on both the Spybots and the RCX, and even Cybermaster. But if you're looking for speed, higher precision, lots of variables and generally more (...)   Re: New Version of pbForth with DCC Support Released

(...) Enough interest? How about this: I think there'd be a HUGE interest! What would it take to convince you? We have no DCC session on tap as of right now, (1) and this would go well in robotics AND trains!!! Please do come! 1 - we were angling (...)   New Version of pbForth with DCC Support Released

All, I've just finished updating the pbForth webiste with information on the latest version of pbForth that supports DCC. Yay! Yes, you can use Mark Riley's excellent train control firmware, but if you want to write code that starts and stops trains (...)   Re: BricxCC release 3.3.7.6

(...) Unfortunately I haven't documented my pbForth support very well. Perhaps the following explanation will be useful to all BricxCC users who want to try pbForth. BricxCC figures out some things based on the extension of the file open in the (...) (21 years ago, 11-Dec-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth, FTX)

  RE: Trains, DCC, and pbForth

(...) DOH! Of course. In the fire alarm business, we have a three state voltage out to the sensors. Usually the Vout is 24V and the device can respond when the voltage falls to 5 V. The devices have a power supply that is basically a big cap and a (...) (21 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

  Re: Trains, DCC, and pbForth

(...) From what I've read, most DCC layouts have a separate small programming track anyways. This way a loco can be safely programmed without having to remove all the other locos from the layout[1]. So, you could hook output A of the RCX to the (...) (21 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

  Re: Trains, DCC, and pbForth

(...) Yes, sounds like fun! And, that DZ123 I recently posted about would be ideal for the job. I think I'll have to order one or two more to test this out. One change to LDCC that would help facilitate this would be the ability to configure LDCC to (...) (21 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth, FTX)

  Re: Trains, DCC, and pbForth

(...) So if I understand this correctly, my idea of inserting some kind of optoisolator or other power driver between the RCX and the track would interfere with LDCC receiving the ACK signal. Or could the sensor 1 input still be (safely) connected (...) (21 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

  Re: Trains, DCC, and pbForth

  Re: Trains, DCC, and pbForth

But there are a lot of potentially motorized items on a layout that could be (...) (21 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth, FTX)
