| | Palm and pbForth
| Hi all, i'm interested in using a Sony Clie N770 (Palm OS 4.1) to program my RCX (RIS 1.5). I ran across pbForth in the book "The Unofficial Guide to Lego Mindstorms" by Jonathan B. Knudsen. I downloaded pbForth.srec (version 11/11/2001 22:08) from (...) (23 years ago, 5-Mar-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

| | RIS 1.0 vs 1.5: which more "desirable"?
| pardon my newbie-ness. i am researching mindstorms, as i am getting myself a set for xmas. now i am confused about the fact everyone seems to want RIS with the v 1.0 RCX. is this true? i guess i am just caught up in the details and new (to me) (...) | | RE: RCX to RCX NQC
| There's another little problem that you may need to program around. There's a bug in the ROM firmware that could end up requiring a 30-millisecond delay between when a RCX sends out a message and when you should start sending the first character of (...) | I think this item has been discused sometimes but I have discovered RIS, just last Christmas. Has anyone played a pcm wave? I know how to play it on a PC speaker, but I don´t know a lot on H8 architecture and so on the timers (24 years ago, 2-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

| | RCX communication
| Hi, (Sorry, my English is not good) I would like to know if it's possible to use legOS (LNP) to get communications between RCXs without the PC, I mean, without an intermediate between the RCXs. And, if it's possible, how can I do that ? I'm using 3 (...) (24 years ago, 17-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

| | Re: how detect other RCX robots with light sensors?

| Assuming both RCXs are facing each other, this can be done by using the IR transmitter of the RCX on the detected robot, and a forward pointing light sensor on the detecting robot.
