| (...) Hi, I'd like to say "yes this is the problem, how I' ve forgotten" but firmware is downloaded. Test program works but mine does not. I am using the appropraite commands I am sure. Can it be a problem about the aplication? Test program is VB. (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jun-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

| Hi! I'm working on a final year CS project which involves getting a lego robot to explore and map its maze-like environment, locate start and finish markers, then run between them. This is working pretty well, but I'd like to be able to download the (...) (24 years ago, 28-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

| (...) It seems like MacNQC can be used to download a new firmware on the RCX: (URL) you didn't, you should give it a try. I also had problems downloading firmwares to the RCX through the USB tower with many utilities. Only NQC did it right. Please (...) (20 years ago, 23-Jul-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

| | Electrical Data Link between 2 RCXs
|
| It's me again with the subject "electrical datalink between 2 RCXs" (I posted some articles a couple of weeks ago). This subject may seem trivial but in fact it is not. Dealing with it, I discovered some "unpleasanties" in the general execution of (...) (24 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

| Hi, I'm running brickOS(0.2.6.10.6-1) on my debian (kernel2.6.8) using the /lib/modules/2.6.8-3...sbtower.ko driver for the usbtower(robotics inventions 2.0 - RCX2.0). Adding this driver gave me the following kernel message: Sep 22 18:51:46 (...) (20 years ago, 22-Sep-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

| | IR to RF conversion for the RCX
|
| Hi, As I was searching for ways to remove the "line-of-sight" problem with the RCX, I ran across this link: (URL) guys are building a complete RF module for the RCX. They are replacing the tower with a RS232-RF tower and they are also building a (...) (21 years ago, 8-Apr-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

| | Re: NQC vs Spirit communication speed
|
| The retry timing for RCX_Link uses a dynamic backoff, which is a good general purpose solution if you're going to be sending lots of packets (like a typical NQC download) and the latency through the serial driver is unknown and/or unpredictable (...) The original GBA still runs about $70, I believe, or the GBA SP will hit you for $100. $269 gets you both the XRC and the basic no-frills Xport that connects it to the GBA ($338 will get you the (...)
