Hi, My RCX shuts off automatically after about 5 min. The set-up options in the RCX software tells me its set for 15. Is this min. or sec.? I'm pretty sure the batteries are fine...it also shut down when using an adapter. Is there something else I (...) (26 years ago, 15-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

There are two different versions of the RCX. Unfortunately, they are both labeled "RCX 1.0". The one that comes with the Robotics Invention System 1.0 has a power adapter input and the one that comes with RIS 1.5 does not. It is possible to use (...) Hi Andy, The library Spirit.ocx cannot to this operation. You can however program it yourself pretty easily. Hi, In the RCX command center there is a dialog that enable you to send a value from the PC to the message buffer of the RCX. How is this implemented using spirit.ocx? As near as I can tell, I must have had the RCX examine tool polling the brick as I tried to download a program. Perhaps one too many windows at a time. Anyway, things got very strange. The brick would not respond to anything and merrily churned (...) (26 years ago, 5-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)
