The one used for the RCX may be, but the NXT power supply is sold as a different
item, and is listed as a 10VAC adapter vs. the 9VAC adapters used by trains and
various other systems.  Not that it matters unless you also buy the Li-Ion
battery pack, since that's the only way to get a power jack in an NXT brick
without heavy warranty-voiding modifications.
