  a problem ... need some help !

hi everyone, im just starting to work with lego RIS2.0 and Lejos, but i have a problem with the lejos setup i did all the instructions and when i tried to compile a java file using the lejosc command i got this reply: Unable to execute javac.   Re: BrickOS 0.9.0 success

(...) Well, I'm pleased to report that the 2.6.10 (newest current) kernel, with included legousbtower driver, worked well with the tarball of brickOS 0.9.0. I haven't tried the Debian package yet. I noticed that on the Debian package page, the (...) (20 years ago, 3-Feb-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: New TLC Mindstorms survey

(...) I'm not sure what good it'll do if the survey is that old but i took it anyway. BTW hope that release it soon since i''ll soon (i hope) be getting 2.0. I'd hate to get it and then a few months later see 3.0 in the shelfs. (20 years ago, 31-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Re: RCX3 - Can extra hardware functionality be added?

(...) A friend of mine is actually working on this 'pod' concept. i have been playing with a working prototype and i must say that it preforms very well. and it is SO nice to not be limited on the number of sensor inputs. pictures of the prototype (...)   Re: BrickOS 0.9.0 success

Andrew, How fun to hear of your 2.4 success with brickos-0.9.0 It is good to hear that this was possible. With respect to your next efforts I have news... (...) Both brickos-0.9.0 and lnpd-0.9.0 are now debian packages. If these are useful in your (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Re: Sending Commands to Spybot from RCX - Question from a Beginner to Comm area.

(...) First of all, my apologies for not answering you via email. I've been a bit busy at work. I needed to run some tests myself before I could properly respond as well. The 0x9223 from the RCX happens to match the IR sent out by the Spybot (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  BrickOS 0.9.0 success

Hello all -- I have a Linux system with a USB Lego IR tower, and have been intermittently poking around on the web (once every few weeks) in hopes of getting a brickOS system to work on it, with varying levels of enthusiasm. I've gotten it to go (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Re: RCX3 - Can extra hardware functionality be added?

(...) I have a proposal that would theoretically allow an RCX to use 49 motors and 147 active sensors (or 588 switches!). This has the potential to control an entire Ball Contraption or railway! The idea may be expandable to four times those (...) (20 years ago, 27-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Re: RCX3 - Can extra hardware functionality be added?

hi so IMHO don't expect more outputs because of the power 3 motors + 3 sensors + mainboard have to be powered by bateries some time ago i proposed to make connectors smaller (URL) good think is the size of these connectors of course second is that (...)   Re: New invention instructions

(...) Seven: Here are two documents which show exactly how to build working components which I think go beyond what comes with the kit. They are free to download .pdf files. This one is written by Fred Martin, who designed the original RCX brick: (...) Dear Marc, It would be very interesting to have Simulink + Realtime Workshop controlling the RCX. By the way, how much speed do you expect can be achieved considering the communication speed between PC and RCX ? Liem. (...) (20 years ago, 22-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: pre-releases brickos-0.9.0/lnpd-0.9.0 avail. for testing/feedback

Steve, (...) The 0.9.0 version does not, however, this is being worked as I write this. Expect a 0.9.x point release to allow us all the chance to test the new code before we release as v1.0.0 Regards, Stephen -- (20 years ago, 22-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

RCX3 - Can extra hardware functionality be added?

Having had a good look inside my RCX, I'm thinking seriously about what is really possible in the same space envelope, whether extra ports or functions could be added for RCX3. I think it's useful for us to know what's inside the RCX, especially if (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Re: RCX IR Tx Circuit - and Now Rx Circuit Too!
