Well, I have had great success using the palm to RCX tools (connecting the Palm device to the IR tower for transmission to the bots) and somewhat limited success with the Omniremote program that uses the built in IR port on the Palm III. Has anyone seriously looked into setting up the Palm's IR for communicating with the RCX? I was thinking of working on this and I wanted to make sure that I won't be duplicating anyone's efforts. FWIW ... I just downloaded, installed, and tested LRemote 1.1 and BrickRemote 0.6. Everything works great - good job Mike and anyone else that helped! My config is a Palm IIIx in a HotSync cradle, connected to the LEGO RIS IR transmitter (with the (...) (26 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics.palm)

I guess that would create a lot of overhead that the developer of OmniRemote doesn't need to get involved with, if they just want to remain in the context of (...)
