Just another idea. What if you attached all the boards in a ring, sort
of the token ring network idea that IBM used in their networks.

Only make communications go in a clockwise path, and give each board an
id#. Send the number and then the info.  Say for instance, i wanted to
talk to the third board. The fist would recieve it, look at the ID#,
decide it wasnt for it, and then pass it on to the next one. When it
finally got to the third board, it would simply not pass it along.

This seems like a very modular system. If you need to add another board,
all you have to do is tie it into the system and assign it a number.

You can even have boards talk to each other this way, instead of having
to go through the PC every time.

What do ya think? will it work? :)
