On a related note, given the power draw of the HB (minimal) would it be practical on some future design to put a small bridge rectifier. This will cost you ~ 1.4 volts (given two diode drops if I calculate it correctly) but has the advantage that (...) (28 years ago, 29-Aug-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

(...) Do those two boards (Hboard and I/F) have differing requirements of the transformer charge plugs, as the schematics indicate? I finally made the servo work with my HB .. I'm ashamed to admit that the error was on the software (I didn't activate the servo output with servo_on() ) *8-/ By the way .. is there any other digital input that can be reconfigured to act as an (...) the hb has a diode to protect against reverse polarity at the coax jack on board. maybe you just blew your config register. the ic manual for the hb has instructions on using the downloaders to reburn the config. fred (28 years ago, 28-Aug-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Hi all, In using the 6.270 board simulator that comes with IC v3.1 beta 8 (Macintosh), I've been unable to identify any of the analog ports and a couple of the digital ports at the software level when using the handyboard libraries. Well, I finally broke it. My Handyboard has been a true workhorse, so forgiving of my newbie errors, until now. Mine has a 9.6V Nicad in the case. When I tried to fire it up last, the battery was low so I plugged in the 12V DC supply line from the (...) (28 years ago, 28-Aug-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

I've been trying to use an RC servo with the HB without success. The servo I'm using is a SRM-101 SANWA. When I start the HB it only turns in one direction untill it gets to the end of its rotation capacity. Any ideas of why it could be ?? Do (...) Hello! When my particularly handyboard boots into bootstrap mode...everything is OK...But when it boots into "normal Mode" with pcode downloaded... the charge led flashes very rapidly..
