Anyone knows where to buy a V-SCOPE transponder for accurate positioning of HB robot or atleast where to get its datasheet so that I can find whether it can be supported by the HB. thanx, Sunil. (25 years ago, 9-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  RE: light sensors

Hope this will help. Have you consider using Cds(Cadmium Sulfide) cells from Radio Shack? They are among the easiest of all light sensors to interface to the Handy Board and the interface itself is pretty much straightforward. All it is a a variable (...)   GP2D02/GP2D12 w/o expansion board

From (URL) : "This example assumes that port PA5 on the Handy Board was connected to the input of the GP2D02 detector and that port PA0 on the Handy Board was connected to the output of the GP2D02 detector." What do PA0 and PA5 refer to? And when (...) (25 years ago, 8-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Can I use this light sensor?

I don't know a lot of electronics, but have been tasked with figuring out which electronic components to purchase for a class which is going to use HandyBoards. I've been thinking of purchasing many of one particular infrared detector and using it (...) (25 years ago, 8-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Re: Can I interface the Handy board to a PC to run there the robot's brain?

(...) There are many applications where Interactive C won't work, some involving lack of memory, and some involving speed of execution. I ended up needing to switch compilers for both reasons, but mostly because of the speed. I do a lot of (...) (25 years ago, 8-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: ssc servo controller (fwd)

I don't know how to connect it to the handyboard or expansion board. this is what i'm assuming, just let me know if i'm wrong, it connects with the modular jack to the PC (can (...)   RE: light sensors

Also, if you don't want your motherbot to have a "light-bulb" on it... You can get an infrared LED (or a few to make it brighter) and use the same concept Barry mentioned. To get the best result in sensitivity it way be wise to match the peak (...) (25 years ago, 8-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Re: Can I interface the Handy board to a PC to run there the robot's brain?

(...) I've tried their product before - the company is once the DVP.com. And it cannot transmit at 9600 baud which they tried to claim using their crystal caps. And the CS is not really that good. I am not quite sure now since it has a new name - (...) (25 years ago, 8-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
