  Re: hbtest errors

John: After I posted my message, I tried hbdl as well with some success... The code downloads now, but upon completion, returns a "config register = 0x0F" error message. This happened to both of my boards, which leads me to believe that it is (...) (27 years ago, 19-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: hbtest errors

Hi Craig, I am hardly an expert at this stuff as you can see from my posts. However, to answer your question, I was able to download pcode_hb.s19 only by giving up on dlm and resorting to hbdl which is a Windows downloader that came with my package (...)   Re: hbtest errors

John ( and everyone else ) ( Shameless Newbie Introduction follows...) I've just joined this list, and have barely finished constructing my first two handy-boards v1.2. Kudo's to Fred on a fine product. John... yours is the first message I've seen (...) (27 years ago, 19-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: hbtest errors

You are using the wrong library files. Make sure the IC application is set up to use lib_hb.lis, not lib_r22.lis, and get the library files from the HB Software Resouces page. Fred In your message you said: (...) (27 years ago, 18-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Continuous use

I have an application where I want to use the HandyBoard continually, 24 hours a day for months on end. Is it safe to run it continually with the trickle charger plugged in? Will it have enough power providing I only do a bit of IR and RS232 (...) (27 years ago, 18-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  hbtest errors

I conquered downloading pcode_hb but had to use a Windows downloader to do it. IC loads fine but when I try to load hbtest.c I get the following error messages: Undefined function start_press Undefined function knob Undefined function stop_button (...)   Re: Another pcode_hb.s19 Downloading Problem

if using DLM, the proper switches are: dlm -ns -256 plus your COM port. make sure you are running in DOS, not a DOS shell. If using Windows, use HBDL.EXE. Fred In your message you said: (...) (27 years ago, 17-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Another pcode_hb.s19 Downloading Problem

I am using an HB that I bought fully assembled from Gleason Research. When attempting to download the pcode_hb.s19 using via dlm(1) a:\pcode_hb.s19 -mb -ram -256 I get the following after all the dots: Synchronizing with board . . . OK Sending (...)   Re: pcode_hb download problem. Please Help me.

Your problem appears to be the LCD module. (Strange I know) From the output in your message I would say that the PCODE was successfully downloaded but IC won't run if the LCD is either not connected or not working. This is because it trys to (...) (27 years ago, 16-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
