I was given a Handyboard v1.2 some friends of mine and it wasn't functioning correctly. I used the assembly and troubleshooting instructions to try and get things working, and then I got stuck.. (...) Multiply each bit by 2^n, where n is the "place" of the number. Then add the products together. For example... 1011 = 1*2^0 + 1*2^1 + 0*2^2 + 1*2^3 = 11 The "zero" place is the one furthest to the right, and you work left from there. ---...--- (...) Hi everyone, I have had the Polaroid sonar sensor working for a while and I just noticed some limitations in it. Regarding sensing flame/arc...Eltec Instruments make pyroelectric detectors to detect flames and arcs emanating from arc welding etc.. you can do it on your fingers... each finger is a bit... no fingers is 0, pinky 1, ring 2, middle 4, pointer 8, etc... once you get it down, counting bits is a breeze... i (missing on finger) can count to 512... math is still pretty hard... but can (...)
