Hi everyone,
I have had the Polaroid sonar sensor working for a while and I just
noticed some limitations in it. When sensing over about 15 feet it
becomes very inaccurate, it registers the appropriate distance but
intermittently gives out much smaller numbers. I think this is because of
its widening "cone of vision" as you move farther from the ranging unit.
In order to accurately sense a far object you must be in a very broad (as
well as long) empty room. Can anyone think of a way to narrow this
"cone of vision" effect so that the sonar unit will be more discerning.
Daniel
