Has anyone done anything with the "old" Polaroid boards? (I've got some I pulled out of some auto-focus cameras I bought cheap many years ago.) I have a very basic doubt regarding the working of the QRD114 sensor. If we connect the sensor as per the illustration in the handy board document, how do we make the emitter transmit IR waves? what will be the frequency of the IR beams (40kHz)? (...) Howdy, Well I finally got my bot to going and was hooking up the bump sensors. I had one plugged in and was seeing how it functioned when all of the sudden there was dead silence. The memory circuit is probably flaky, or, you zapped a 6811 address line output. If you haven't already tried, swap the 6811 with a known good one. After setting the CONFIG register, downloading the pcode never completes. We get anywhere from 0 to about 1600 bytes transferred, then an error. Everything has checked out to this point.
