Hi- I'd like to separate my display from my handyboard and wire it via ribbon wire so I can view it remotely. Can I do this? How far away can I have the display from the board until it is unable to fully transmit a signal? Thanks, Mike Degon (28 years ago, 31-Jan-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

I've got this old Radio Shack RC car that I want to use as a chassis for the HB I'm building. It is the same type car that the Mobot Lab used to build Tom and Jerry. Sorry, there is nothing I can do about this short of compiling, installing, and configuring brand new mail list software from scratch. For the HB, when do you draw 500mA? When you put the interface on "Zap Charge", do you lower the voltage less that 12V? What about when you "trickle" it? Hihger that 12V? (...) (28 years ago, 29-Jan-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Fred, I get a bunch of bounce-back messages when I post to this mailing list. Apparently many of the addresses have gone bad. this is correct. normal dc adapters are unregulated and there is a reciprocal relation between voltage and current. when you just plug it in and and measure voltage, current is 0 and hence voltage is higher than the spec. if you draw the rated 500 (...)
