I recieved my copy in a special deal from a book club that catered to electronics enthusiasts. It was a kind of Book-of-the-month club. The name escapes me at the moment. Ben -- the pin 27 R/W line of the RAM should be connected directly to the R/W line of the 6811. I don't remember the pin # off hand -- it's 7 i think -- but just check the schematic. check the continuity first on the board. if that's ok, then check (...) I'm stumped. In the process of assembling my first handyboard, I have just reached the stage where I install the memory (all previous checkpoints passed). The 8MHz crystal is no longer listed in the Mouser Catalog (part #332-5080). When I look in the DigiKey catalog, it lists several 8 Mhz crystals with different load capacitances (18pF, 20pF, 32pF, and Series). Does it matter which I get? If so, (...) Hello: Sometimes back there were posts here that the Mobile Robots book could be obtained from a bookseller in CT for $5! However, later appends said that this booksellers stock was exhausted. I have just had no success at all finding this part in the UK. I even talke to Hitachi UK and was told that if I wanted any it would have to be 100+ with a 20 week lead time! Suggestions Anyone???... Was wondering if anyone has an alternate solution to stepping a bipolar stepper? Currently....
