Re: 8479 Code Pilot Barcode Analysis and Code Sheet

(...) Alex Christensen posted a PDF file with these same bar codes back in February of 2007: (URL) based his work on Doug Eaton's extremely helpful VLL page: (URL) Hansen (16 years ago, 7-Jan-08, to lugnet.robotics.codepilot, lugnet.technic)

8479 Code Pilot Barcode Analysis and Code Sheet

Dr. Soubhi Sabbagh contacted me recently to get information on Code Pilot, and collecting various sources he was able to analyse and create a PDF code sheet. " So, I decided to study the bar code algorithm and I co-operated with www.dlsoft.com until (...) (16 years ago, 5-Jan-08, to lugnet.robotics.codepilot, lugnet.technic)

  Programming language survey results

Hi all, Thank you if you completed the survey about your chosen development environment. Early results are as follows: 48% of respondents use NQC as their main language. NQC scores 1.6 for usefulness, 1.5 for ease of use and 2.1 for enjoyment. (1 is (...)   Battle of the programming languages

Hi, I am very interested (for a variety of reasons) in which programming language people are using to build robots. I wonder if you would fill in a questionnaire about it at: (URL) all about how useful, easy and enjoyable your chosen language is. If (...)   Code Pilot Light Sensor Circuit

Here's my drawing of the Code Pilot light sensor circuit: (URL) Looking at the components used, there's no reason why a similar circuit couldn't be used as an RCX sensor, though I see the real one is more sophisticated: (URL) In the Code Pilot, the (...)   Re: Using Code Pilot to control motorized cows

(...) Note that Jason Allemann created a smaller version, more akin to minifig scale: (URL) motor has to be in the base, but other than that it works exactly the same. ROSCO (20 years ago, 3-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics.codepilot)

Using Code Pilot to control motorized cows

Purists please skip this post as it involves non-LEGO sensors. Lacking an RCX, but loving the motorized cows ( (URL) ), I needed to find a way to control them with the code pilot (from set 8479 Barcode Multi-Set) I have. The only LEGO sensor that (...)   Re: what's a Code Pilot?

(...) Sorry. It has only one passive input (you can't attach light-sensors or rotation-sensors to it). The RCX, as you may know, has three outputs and three active inputs and you can choose from lots of ways on how to program it: Standard (...)   Re: what's a Code Pilot?

(...) ... (...) Hi, It comes with this excellent set : [LEGOSet 8479] You can find it on bricklink: (URL) However, the Code Pilot is a limited pbrick. It can control only one motor, has only two passive inputs and one light-sensor/barcode reader (...) (20 years ago, 4-Aug-04, to lugnet.robotics.codepilot, FTX)

  Re: what's a Code Pilot?

(...) The codepilot was available in set 8479. To program it you swiped it across various bar codes. I don't own an RCX, so I can't give you a detailed comparison. From what I understand, the codepilot is/was more difficult and more time consuming (...) (20 years ago, 4-Aug-04, to lugnet.robotics.codepilot)

  what's a Code Pilot?

I hope you'll forgive a newbie for what must be a FAQ, but what exactly is a Code Pilot, what can it do, and how can I get one? I gather from the group description that it's some sort of programmable brick, perhaps an alternative to the RCX. But (...) (20 years ago, 4-Aug-04, to lugnet.robotics.codepilot)

  Re: reed switch/codepilot question

yeah, it should, as both a touch switch and a reed switch ar digital switches, they can only give a 1 or a 0 to the codepilot Bob Clough (...) (20 years ago, 25-Feb-04, to lugnet.robotics.codepilot, lugnet.trains)

  reed switch/codepilot question

Greetings, I was looking at using a reed switch to control some train stuff. Unfortunately I only have a codepilot rather than an RCX. The codepilot accepts touch sensors. I've read ( (URL) ) that you tell the RCX to treat the reed as a touch (...) (20 years ago, 24-Feb-04, to lugnet.robotics.codepilot, lugnet.trains)

RE: Scout connected to Code Pilot with Fiber Optics

I have connected both a RCX and a CyberMaster to a CodePilot (and also to a MicroScout). I don't remember if I tried connecting also a Spybotics, but I think it work too. CodePilot accepts VLL codes but only the *Batch* VLL Commands, to make a VLL (...)   Scout connected to Code Pilot with Fiber Optics

I don't have a Code Pilot but I am interested in getting one to play around with. I understand that I can use my Scout to program it using VLL. On the Micro Scout fiber optic cable can be connected to the light sensor using a technic half pin. Is (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jan-04, to lugnet.robotics.codepilot)

Re: How to make a barecode?

RE: How to make a barecode?

From what I understand of VVL, CodePilot and MicroScouts: The CodePilot has pre-programed "macros" burned into ROM. Each has it's own id-code, so that's why the book can use a one-barcode "program" for each factory standard model behavior. So, I (...) (21 years ago, 6-Oct-03, to lugnet.robotics.codepilot)

  How to make a barecode?
