What are the requirements of your project? What information are you looking for specifically. The reason I ask is, with the right algorithm, the logitech SDK for the vision command hardware can do just about anything a normal camera can do. You can (...) Hello, Are there any know problems getting the h8 cross compiler working under Windows XP? I'm using the latest cygwin environment, along with gcc3.2, newlib1.10, and have tried both the binutils source distributed with cygwin (2002070601?) and I (...) you could make that one stud thinner by placing it within a framework. now i have something else to work on... i did recently make on from a 24t gear but it rotates around one of the four holes off axis and is really only good for use in a sensor (...) I hope this isn't old news - at least I couldn't find any mention of it here, so... While rummaging through a new copy of the Ultimate Builders Set (#3800), I noticed that the 9V mini-motor that came with the set was somewhat different than ones (...) Hi everyone, I'm building a robot that uses ultrasonic rangefinding combined with a small black and white C-MOS video camera. This cam uses a laser unit to point at the objects it is recording. 1) If you have a serial tower, there is no reason I can think of to purchase the USB tower. If you use a USB tower, then you will need the USB support that Robolab 2.5 provides. 2) The hardware differences between the 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0 bricks are (...) It might be worth trying to increase the area that the light sensor is seeing by putting some kind of a lens in front of it. If the sensor could see (say) a roughly circular region 3 centimeters across then numbers you'd read between the 'white' and (...) (23 years ago, 27-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Yes, the object is to have the RCX robot monitor its own battery charge (something available to the RCX firmware, and lejos, etc..) and then when it is consistently low to drive up to some sort of home made charging station and get a boost.
