Luis,
The main problem is that I'm using the gnuwin32 environment instead of the
cygwin (and I have lot of programs made with gnuwin32 so it's not wise
either to port them to cygwin rather set up a secondary c/c++ environment).
I was quite surprised that there were some oddities in the make files to
build up the binutils. Next I found that there were in website
<http://www.beesknees.freeserve.co.uk/lego/> instruction to use only the
cygwin one.
What is the reason to just depend on the cygwin environment? It's is very
important to code the nonGUI programs such a way that it can be compiled any
major operating system. (Some of my programs are used in and compiled to
Linux, Sun, HP, Win95/98 and NT without any modifications to the source
code). I would have challenged my self to dig in more deeper to this oddity,
but so far the spirit.ocx and NQC have been enough for my projects.

| legOS runs fine under the cygwin environment in NT- I finally even tried it myself :) Was there a specific problem that you were having in the porting? The cygnus install is not straightforward- I'll be the first to admit that- but if you are (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)
