The Micro Scout's possibilities are somewhat very limited. It has 7 built-in
programs, and it can interact with user's behaviour with the light sensor. In
these programs the Micro Scout plays some sounds, move forward and backwards,
and nothing more. I think the most interesting program is number 3; running this
program let the robot follow a light source.
At the moment no one knows how to expand the bot's possibilites, and connect in
to the RCX. There is a misterious "P program" in addiotion to the others; the
instructions say that it has been developed for future versions of Mindstorms
pruducts, but no other explanations are given.
I think at the moment the possibilites for this bot to be a companion for the
RCX unit are very limited: no communication possible, apart from the light
sensor...
Hope this helps...

| I have seen comments about the Scout, which seems to be the RCX's little brother. Same size, lesser capabilities. Has anyone had experience with the Micro Scout? This little guy seems like a good companion to the RCX, with its built in motor and (...) (25 years ago, 28-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)
