There's a very cool hands-on display at the Exploratorium (for anyone fortunate enough to live within driving distance of San Francisco) that has a single motor input, and two wheel outputs. The differential is driven by a constant rotational velocity source and this velocity is distributed between the two axels in such a way that their average velocity is (...)
