  Re: reverse ploarity circut protection??

(...) A bridge rectifier would work, very simple, but I'm not sure it's the best solution. ROSCO (19 years ago, 13-Jul-06, to lugnet.robotics, FTX)

  reverse ploarity circut protection??

Re: BASIC for the NXT was Re: R21 - Robot Status

I think that $25,000 should inspire someone to write a basic compiler that spits out NXT Byte code. You could even get by if the compiler was written based using a non-enterprise version of basic. Lamar A retired system programmer/analyst "Chris (...) (19 years ago, 11-Jul-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: NXT powered by USB?

(...) Indeed, a single motor at full load draws more current (about 800mA at 9V) than USB could supply (500mA at 5V). What might have been possible (but probably involving a lot of added complexity in power supply design for a limited advantage) (...) (19 years ago, 11-Jul-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: NXT powered by USB?

(...) no, it doesn't. The motors would require much more power than you can draw from there. Steve (19 years ago, 10-Jul-06, to lugnet.robotics)
