Where and what to buy? —Jonathan Spitz
I'm traveling to United States next week and I'll be staying in Los Angeles for two weeks. I would like to know which LEGO kits or pieces do you recomend that I buy and where to buy them. I know there are cheaper places than the normal ones but as (...) (21 years ago, 27-Jun-03, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) (corrected to "clearance" in a subsequent post) I have a question about "clearance" stuff on the PLE site... is it actually any cheaper than it was when it wasn't on clearance ? The plates pack prices seem pretty high to me. (21 years ago, 27-Jun-03, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Sorry, not quite the question I was asking. More specifically, is the (for example) yellow plates pack actually discounted from what it was before now that it is on "special" ?? (...) Normally I avoid Pitsco except for things you cannot get (...) (21 years ago, 27-Jun-03, to lugnet.robotics)

         Parts lists —Brass Tilde
A week or so ago, someone posted a link to a site that had all the lego sets and parts, along with what parts belonged to what set. It was not an LDraw list. I can't find that message now. Would someone be so kind as to repost it. Thanks, Brad (21 years ago, 27-Jun-03, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Where and what to buy? —Maggie Cambron
(...) Hardly any items on the clearance page are discounted. The yellow plates were $8 in the 2001 catalog (hard copy), then $8.50 in 2002, and are not in the 2003 catalog at all. I suspect "clearance" to them has more to do with discontinuation (...) (21 years ago, 27-Jun-03, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Where and what to buy? —Larry Pieniazek
(...) As I suspected. Sigh. It is STILL lost on me why Pitsco got the Dacta monopoly in the US from LEGO... I haven't seen the value add or synergy from combining them, but that's just me. (...) Indeed. Their shipping is 6% or 6 dollars... whichever (...) (21 years ago, 27-Jun-03, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.market.shopping)
