Yea, those plates are much cheaper on EBay. but just last week I bought 4 sets of these; (URL) each is nice... Plus you can get all your motors, sensors and what-not there too of course: (URL) you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo! Search - Faster. Easier. (...) (21 years ago, 27-Jun-03, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Hardly any items on the clearance page are discounted. The yellow plates were $8 in the 2001 catalog (hard copy), then $8.50 in 2002, and are not in the 2003 catalog at all. I suspect "clearance" to them has more to do with discontinuation (...) (21 years ago, 27-Jun-03, to lugnet.robotics)

Some of the better sources for Electronics here in Los Angeles are BEST BUY and Fry's Electronics. You can get some Lego at Toys R Us. Few things are cheap in Los Angeles. I could not recommend a parts list for you as I am not familiar with your (...) (21 years ago, 28-Jun-03, to lugnet.robotics)
