| | | | (...) My first guess on this problem is that the firmware is no longer loaded on the RCX. Check the LCD display - if it doesn't show 5 digits (e.g. "00.00 1") then the firmware isn't installed. If you can locate the firmware file (typically called (...) (22 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.robotics)

I think Jeff told me via e-mail that he is using the latest release of BricxCC/NQC. A less likely alternative would be a (...) (22 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.robotics)

| | | | | | (...) Well, I reinstalled Windows XP and then installed RIS 2.0 and NQC/BRICXCC and everything worked like a dream. I have no idea why it wouldn't work before (did everything the same). Strange that it would work in RIS 2.0 but not in NQC or (...) (22 years ago, 24-May-02, to lugnet.robotics)
