I have a Xircom USB to Serial adapter (DB9) and it works fine with the RIS
1.0/1.5 Serial Tower.

| (...) Does it work with Windows XP (the USB->Serial adapter and the 1.5 Tower)? I've had 2 USB->Serial port adapters not work under XP now...sigh. Thanks, -JM (22 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.robotics)

| Lego Dacta sells a usb IR tower. You can also get one if you purchase Mindstorms 2.0 set. Mindstorms 2.0 software upgrade is available from Lego (or was when I bought mine). You will have to have the software upgrade to make the usb IR tower work. (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-02, to lugnet.robotics)
