| | | John, Your absolute best bet is the Sharp GP2D12 because it outputs an analog voltage proportional to the distance to a detected object. | | | | | For the pen up and down, use a gear rack assembly attachec to the pen and to a motor/guide assembly on the robot. Make it a differential drive robot with a differential linked rotation sensor found on Jonathan Knudsen (I porbably butchered that, and (...) (23 years ago, 23-May-01, to lugnet.robotics)
