Hi Steven,
you need another 4066.
The fourth bilateral switch is connected to ground. This provides (using the
2.2kOhm resistor) a reference value for the RCX. This values mark your start
point. This makes it possible to know "where" you are with your counter.
In my robot I have a task running, that polls the three sharps all the time and
stores the values in global variables. If the value is larger than 80 I know
that next value comes from my first sharp.
(The reading > 80 is reading ground with 2.2kOhm)
