Rainer,
Do I need another 4066? Can't I just use the fourth one in the current 4066?

| Hi Steven, you need another 4066. The fourth bilateral switch is connected to ground. This provides (using the 2.2kOhm resistor) a reference value for the RCX. This values mark your start point. This makes it possible to know "where" you are with (...) (24 years ago, 23-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

| Steven Nickle (to Rainer Balzerowski) asked: (...) Instead of a 4017 switching a 4066, why not use a 4518 controlling a 4051 analog multiplexer? That would keep the IC count the same, but allow you to manage 7 GP2D12's using the original strategy (...) (24 years ago, 1-May-01, to lugnet.robotics)

| Hi Steven, no problem ! The circuit shown on our website (depending on the work of Michael Gasperi) is easy extendable with a fourth (and more) sharp GP2D12. Have a look at : (URL) you need is to build a fourth little amplifier-ciruit (the fourth (...) (24 years ago, 23-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)
