| | Philippe, Nice work. I ordered a few parts and am going to try it out. Now if I could figure out how to multiplex 4 sensors to a single input an be able to monitor them individually. The goal is crossing sensors on the front and rear to give true (...) (24 years ago, 23-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

| | | | Hi Steven, no problem ! The circuit shown on our website (depending on the work of Michael Gasperi) is easy extendable with a fourth (and more) sharp GP2D12. Have a look at : (URL) you need is to build a fourth little amplifier-ciruit (the fourth (...) (24 years ago, 23-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

| | | | | | Hi Steven, you need another 4066. The fourth bilateral switch is connected to ground. This provides (using the 2.2kOhm resistor) a reference value for the RCX. This values mark your start point. This makes it possible to know "where" you are with (...) (24 years ago, 23-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics)

| | | | | Steven Nickle (to Rainer Balzerowski) asked: (...) Instead of a 4017 switching a 4066, why not use a 4518 controlling a 4051 analog multiplexer? That would keep the IC count the same, but allow you to manage 7 GP2D12's using the original strategy (...) (24 years ago, 1-May-01, to lugnet.robotics)

| | | | | Hi Steve, sounds good to me ! Try it and let us know, if it does work (why shouldn't it ?!?). Sad, but I don't own 15 (not even 7) Sharps. :( But, if changing the supply voltage (using a switch to chose between 5V from regulator (for sharps) or (...)
