I really cant make any comparison to batteries, ever since day one
I've used Rayovac Rechargeable Alkalines. I bought two 4 packs for..
$6 each? and the recharger that only charges 4 at a time for another
$8? I forget, bought it all around the second week of January.
Anyhow, I've recharged thema bunch of times, and the batteries seem
to be as durable as the day I got them. Definatly a money saver!
If you really put your RCX to the challenge, and are running it a
whole lot, ya might want to get those Rayovac NiMh. They have
better output power, and are supposta recharge 1000 times.
down side is they cost about 2x the rechargable Alkalines, and they
tend to discharge when not in use. I guess ya kinda gotta pop them
out of the charger, and right into action. I'm not an expert, but
they probably discharge noticabley in a week.
The good thing about the Alkalines and the NiMh is they are both not
SUPPOSTA have any memory problems, so you can recharge them all you
want, and they dont get permaturly weak, like NiCads
Anyone use the NiMh's? I'm curious as to how long they will hold a
charge if they aren't being used.
