Hi All! Is there any need of a german language based lugnet newsgroup? I think it would be nice, how do YOU think ? Bye, Marc. (24 years ago, 15-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: German language Group

Hallo Marc, warum nicht ?!? Viele Deutsche mit schlechten englisch Kenntnissen wuerden sich bestimmt freuen. Andererseits teilt man hier seine Ideen mit einer groesseren Gemeinde. (Why not ?!? Many of the germans with bad english knowledge would for (...) (24 years ago, 15-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: killer mindsorms robots [okay, my bad]

You're right, the one I got is 'Extreme Mindstorms' "Killer Mindstorms", "Extreme Mindstorms"...all this hyperbole flying around...I got confused, sorry for any misunderstanding...   Edge Tracking SteerBot LUGNET Page

I just put up a page with photos and NQC code of my SteerBot robot. SteerBot is an edge tracking robot that steers like a car.   Re: More juice out of the standard motors.

I used to regularly drive LEGO 9V motors at about 12V with no observed damage. I assume the increased power/torque would be proportional to the voltage, i.e. 33% more voltage gets you 33% more power/torque. However, I don't know how to get more than (...)   Re: Edge Tracking SteerBot LUGNET Page

Since my original posting I have added an animated GIF of the robot going around my test track. This animated GIF was made from a QuickTime .mov file. This was my first attempt at making animated GIFs. They are pretty cool but they do require a fair (...) (24 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Edge Tracking SteerBot LUGNET Page

I am very impressed with that robot, the first time i saw the movie, month ago or so, I made the same "whoa" sound as the other people did in the clip. I'd never guessed a line following robot could move so fast, but I'm just a novice, I've only had (...) (24 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Edge Tracking SteerBot LUGNET Page

Re: Edge Tracking SteerBot LUGNET Page

(...) I especially like the way you put the motor next to the differential, I wish I had had that idea when I encountered the same problem. While we're at it, I just saw that there is a racing competition for edge-tracking robots coming on in (...) (24 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: BrickBots.Com Contests Extended - Balancing a Pendulum is HARD!
