Thanks a lot guys I guess Lego should have thought about this and sell power supplies for their units (or at least let people know what kind they need) What I really wonder is why nothing has been done, I just got this unit 2 days ago, but Lego (...) (24 years ago, 23-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

In a pinch - and if you don't mind spending some extra money - you can always by a train set like 4561 "Railway Express" for $129.99 or 4548 "Speed Regulator" for $41.99. There's usually somebody selling the original Lego adapters on eBay for about $18. I suppose that's highish compared to a Radio Shack 9v unit.
