PVC pipe cement is the easiest kind of glue to get hold of for gluing Lego bricks. It is "VERY" effective. Use a tooth pick to apply it - you don't need much! (...) Actually, you need four transistors in what is called an H-bridge configuration. This is due to the fact that the motors are usually intended for bi-directional use. Hello, Lego is ABS plastic; MEK (Methyl-Ethyl Ketone) is good for glueing it. You might want to search through the lugnet.robotics archive, as there was an extensive thread on this last year. Hope this helps, Simon (...) (24 years ago, 11-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

You may just have to send out grabage that the RCX and Scout are programmed not to recognize and deal with, or make your own "tower" that just has infrared transistors on the end of it. This is a major problem for many things, and no way has been (...) (24 years ago, 11-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

WOW!! That is an amazing piece of work. Have you figured out if there is a way to do it with a Technic 9V battery box, such as the one included in the Technic Space Shuttle? You can run about 2 motors off of one output (as the RCX goes into thermal shutdown at 500ma and each motor will (on average) draw 200ma at a stall). Sorry I can't help you with the device part, but (don't let this start flames) can't you just hook (...) (24 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Yeah, I'd thought about that, but my application was gonna include an air tank, which would alleviate the problem a bit. (...) Thanks Huw! It has been improved since you saw it by adding a second compressor pump making the airflow rate far more respectable...
