You can run about 2 motors off of one output (as the RCX goes into thermal
shutdown at 500ma and each motor will (on average) draw 200ma at a stall).
Sorry I can't help you with the device part, but (don't let this start
flames) can't you just hook up a power transistor with a heatsink and a
power source?

| (...) Actually, you need four transistors in what is called an H-bridge configuration. This is due to the fact that the motors are usually intended for bi-directional use.
