Mechanically, LEGO is beautiful to work with. The components are well selected for rapid prototyping. For example, you will find that the hole spacing in the beams and the center-to-center distances of the gears ...seem to work well together. (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

I think that unless you are going to write your own communications routines, you will need spirit.ocx, and use its functions to talk to the RCX. If you do not use standard firmware, you will not need the cd. These options are also generally more (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) This is true, in terms of both lighting and resolution. XCam2 is a cheap, wireless camera. Whether its image quality is good enough for you depends on the nature of your project. (...) That 's definitely wrong. Robolab uses the same firmware like RIS. But they use different names. In RIS it is named "firm0309.lgo" and in Robolab they call it "firmware.txt". In Robolab 2.0.1 you can find the file in your Robolab folder: (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Since I'm not very adept with hardware, using a Mindstorms robot for (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)
