RE: Palm Hardware Interface idea? + other stuff

yes, cool idea. I have a learning curve to go through, but I'd be interested in pursuing this. Incidentally, it was that palm kit mentioned on slashdot (actually I got there via Wired.com) that I'm waiting on... acroname.com have created a kit under (...)   Palm Hardware Interface idea?

(...) <snip> (...) Hmmm...I was thinking about this after I saw the Palm Pilot based robot kit on Slashdot. How about a modified interface board that connects with the Palm Pilot via the serial port and then it has an array of RCX compatible Inputs (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  RCX respond time

I have some questions about the RCX. When I make a very simple program: Turn on motor A when Touchsensor 1 is pressed. How long takes it when I press the touchsensor before the motor is turning? 1 clockcylce of the CPU? When I make a program where (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Mini-Robomind

I was wondering how many people out there have used the Mini-Robomind? (URL) you have and you've set up a web-page or have experienced any trials or tribulations I'd like to hear about them? Please let me know as we are considering using this board (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Radio Controlled Tank - tread lightly.

Treads are a subject of particular interest to me. Most of my constructions are done with 100% pure Lego with the exception of my various sensors of course which often form the raison d'etre for building them in the first place. Treads are a (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Radio Controlled Tank.

(...) Those treads are a Dacta item. You can bulk order them. They are somewhat slippery for use as treads. They are like the chain links with an extra bar molded over the top of each link. I think Dacta calls them conveyer belt links. (25 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Java (was Ada)

(...) As the original author of both systems, whatever I say is going to be biased. You might want to post your question at tinyvm-discussion@li...forge.net. I've received a lot of praise for these systems, so I guess people do like them. There are (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: MOC: Radio Controlled Tank.

hehe, that's pretty cool - at the very least you inspired me to stop lurking and post I'm a mindstorms newbie, just got a set last week (I decided I couldn't afford a cye to start messing with robotics and I'm still waiting for delivery of a (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: LEGO Foosball table

(...) Not me, but avery good suggestion. Does the RCX have enough outputs? I assume by a football table you mean the ones with the players on bars across it that rotate or slide across laterally? Of course if you were designing a robot to play in (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.sports, lugnet.build, lugnet.gaming, lugnet.robotics)
