This is a question for anyone who has bought the RIS 1.0 box that says free upgrade to RIS 1.5. Do you need a receipt to get the upgrade free? I dont know about the vision command, but the sdk avalible on mindstorms website (2.0 beta) does not update the application. They also are not offering a special upgrade kit (to my knowledge). The sdk does include a free programing interface, but (...) (25 years ago, 24-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)

You could use a Tcl/Tk script to install/use TinyVM/leJOS. I was trying to do this in java, but it did not work out. Now I have a GUI editor for Tcl/Tk. The buttons and menus would be easy to program, once I figure out how to do commands. Andy (...) (25 years ago, 22-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)

According to "The Art of LEGO Design" a worm gear is best used at high-speed, low-torque points in the drive train. In other words, drive the worm from the motor, then do any further gearing... Unless your normal gear train is trading torque for (...) (25 years ago, 22-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)
