Controller for the Vision Command power stand

I built a controller for the power stand that can be build with the Vision Command kit. You can find details at my web site (URL) me know what you think. Ryan -- reply to: rjschave at home dot com (URL) (25 years ago, 21-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: How 2 Augment RIS 1.5? (ebay comments)

(...) I second that. I purchased a few much sought after 84xx sets on Ebay, and my wallet cried and bled. I would suggest that you not go after MIB (mint in box) or MISB (mint in sealed box) sets, as they fetch a premium from anal-retentive toy (...) (25 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)

I just figured that out too :) I always wondered, what is TRU? I have never seen one of those. Now I know that I go in one very often. Andy (...) (25 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Differential gears

The Shop at Home catalog lists a gear set which includes it. It also includes a universal which is also hard to find in sets. I just bought some of these gear packs recently. JB (25 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Do you know how LONG I've been subscribed to this list, and I just NOW figured out that TRU = Toys R Us! I'd often lamented that there was no "TRU" near me. Time to rejoin the "I am an Idiot" thread. Doug Wilcox Senior Web Developer iMcKesson (...) (25 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Differential gears

I know this has probably been asked before but what Technic sets can I get the differential gear out of? (25 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)

RE: How 2 Augment RIS 1.5?

Speaking from personal experience, I recognize the first step on the slippery path to rationalized excessive Lego purchases. I'd say run, but it's too late to turn back now....;>) Still, it's fun and doesn't have to be painful. The buckets are ok, (...) (25 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Don't forget the 3033 basic tub with 1200 pieces. Normally $20. But the current Kmart sale is buy one, get 50% off a second.   How 2 Augment RIS 1.5?

I need to augment RIS 1.5 with more Lego components, sometimes to build a temporary stand and sometimes as part of a robotic concept. Lego S@H and Dacta let you buy specific parts, but perhaps just a set of toy blocks would be as good at a lower (...) (25 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Modelling boolean gates with trains

If by 1 your mean TRUE and by 0 you mean FALSE, and given that in Boolean logic TRUE = NOT FALSE, then two conclusions from what you have said is "train on the line" = "reversed" "train not on the line" and "train not on the line = "reversed" "train (...)   Modelling boolean gates with trains

Okay, this might be totally impossible (or insane or banal), but has anyone modelled boolean functions on a train layout (System or Duplo)? At the moment I'm thinking "train on the line"=1, "not on the line"=0. NOT could be done by reversing the (...)
