Re: Inexpensive air tank found at WalMart!

I know this sounds syupid after all th talk of air tanks, but what exactly can you use air tanks for?? (25 years ago, 13-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Think about using a hand tire pump to inflate a tire/tyre... it only has the capacity of the cylinder you are pumping... compare that to running a pnematic pump with no tank... you could never pump fast enought to keep up with an air chisel... Now (...) (25 years ago, 13-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics)

I've been toying a bit with pneumatics, and I really like them, have a few tanks too, but I'm not sure how good they are. (...) (25 years ago, 13-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Ahh yes:) But the CodePilot does more than make noises, I have a regulator implemented with a small cylinder with rubberbands (for retraction) which touches one of the switches, when pressurised enough, when that happens I let the compressor (...) (...) Yes. (...) Has anybody tried putting a touch sensor on an input of the code pilot and an input of the RCX simultanously? I have a light scanner that consists of a light sensor, a motor and a touch sensor for the rear position. The motor (...) (25 years ago, 15-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics)
